Multi-percussion solo for concert toms and bass drum;

Written as a multi-percussion solo exploring the concepts of polyrhythms, Clouds of Extinction combines sultry rhythms with an impending sense of danger. The driving bass drum propels the piece forward, representing the approach of menacing clouds, while the opening section’s dance-like quality creates a hypnotic atmosphere. Together, these elements create a powerful and evocative work that challenges the performer and captivates the listener.
