My standard rate is $20 per hour, but I understand that budgets can vary, especially for college students. If the rate is a concern, we can discuss options that work for both of us.

In Composition or Music Production
As a composer and educator, I believe that music composition and production should be a deeply personal journey. My approach is to guide, and help you uncover and refine your unique creative voice. I aim to nurture and bring out your artistic vision, encouraging exploration and fostering a judgment-free environment where all musical ideas are welcome.
I understand the challenges of feeling creatively overwhelmed, and I’m committed to helping you channel your ideas into cohesive compositions. I’ll work with you to overcome obstacles and ensure you stay on track toward realizing your musical ambitions. I won’t impose a specific style or method on you. Instead, I’ll help you navigate your creative process, offering insights and techniques that align with your artistic goals.
Here’s what you can expect:
Before our first lesson, I’ll ask you to share any compositions or ideas—recorded or written—along with a brief questionnaire about your goals, experience, and the notation program or digital audio workstation (DAW) you use, if any. I primarily work with Finale and Logic, but I'm flexible and can adapt to your preferred tools to make things work smoothly.
Each 60-minute lesson, priced at $30 per hour, is designed to meet your specific needs and is available weekly via Zoom or in-person if you're in Austin, TX. We’ll work together for as long as you need, ensuring that you feel confident and empowered to achieve the goals we establish at the start.
